Macello
Macello is the latest southern Italy restaurant of Giovanni DeNigris, proprietor of Trattoria Trullo (Lincoln Square). Macello means "slaughterhouse" in Italian, a name that speaks to the historical nature of Macello's location (the stockyards), as well as the restaurant's decor, which resembles a butcher shop (but more charming than you might think).
Two wood burning ovens roast meat, fish and pizza.
